Fourth of July Decor

Friday, July 1, 2022

I love decorating for all of the different seasons and holidays. Although Fall is my favorite season to decorate, I do love decorating for the Fourth of July because I love all of the pops of red and blues. And I think the color scheme goes really well with my existing decor.

In the past I have put out patriotic decor throughout my home, and have even decorated my front porch, but this year I decided to keep it simple, since I'm still pretty busy with a preschooler and a baby. But I did like all of the little touches of decor I did put out this year, and wanted to share for some inspiration.   You can see my decor from 2020 over on my YouTube channel.

I started out with a centerpiece for my dining room table. I always have a festive centerpiece on my table, so it's always where I like to start. The vase is from Decocrated, the faux lambs ear is from Walmart, the sign and beads are from Hobby Lobby, the candle is Bath and Body Works and the wooden tray is Hearth and Hand from Target. I can't remember where my table runner came from, but it might have been Hobby Lobby.

This little scene is on the mantle in the living room. The house and the 2 faux books that say "beautiful" and "moments" came from Decocrated. The faux plant was from the Target Dollar Spot a few years ago, and the blue book is an old hymnal from the church I grew up in. My Dad still plays the organ at this church, and he gave me a few of them to have as memories and also use as decor.

This dough bowl sits on the sideboard in my dining room and I love to find different ways to decorate it for each season and holiday. The dough bowl came from Hobby Lobby, the lantern is Hearth and Home from Target, the wooden stars came from Meijer, the faux lambs ear came from Walmart, and the felt garland is from Amazon. There is also a wooden bead garland, but that was a DIY from my Mom.

In my kitchen I have a flag attachment on my Happy Everything plate. I have an attachment for every season and holiday, and it's one of my favorite things to switch out every month.

And last I have my tier tray decorated for the fourth. All of this decor, minus the sign and the plant, came from Hobby Lobby. The sign came from a local store and the plant is from Hearth and Hand and I just placed it in a little white ceramic bowl. You can see a decorate with me Reel on Instagram.

And that's all of my decor for this year. Maybe next year I'll put a little more out, but it was kind of nice to not have a lot of decor to put away after the holiday, so we will see if I keep it minimal or not.
